We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our team in Warrington. In this role you will provide financial expertise and support for Site Accommodation business. To ensure that the company operates effectively and correctly within the controls and guidelines set by the Portakabin Group.

 

Role Details

  • Salary: £22,000 - £25,000

  • Role based: Warrington

  • Contract type: Permanent

  • Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Management team within the business, analysing and interpreting the accounts and ensuring there is full understanding of the financial implications of decisions and issues affecting their business area.

  • Ensure good communication with the wider Finance Department, sharing and using knowledge for the best interests of the business and the overall Portakabin Group.

  • Assist with ensuring that the business complies with all accounting policies of the Portakabin Group and make certain that accounting issues specific to the business are properly recognised and resolved.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts to strict deadlines, helping to ensure that all Balance Sheet Accounts are reconciled each month, taking corrective action to guarantee timeliness and accuracy of information.

  • Aid the annual budget process for the business ensuring reports are completed and deadlines met and a thorough budget is prepared.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial accounts and support the annual audit process where necessary.

Our Ideal Candidate

It is essential that you have:

  • Evidence of working within a team environment

  • Strong IT capabilities including Microsoft packages and corporate systems

It would also be desirable to have any of the following:

  • Basic technical accounting knowledge and understanding

  • Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/AAT

  • Experience of statutory reporting and budgeting

  • Experience of working with SAP
