An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join us here at Portakabin within our Site Accommodation team based in Sherburn. The role is to support our accounts’ receivable function whilst ensuring that the company operates effectively and correctly within the controls and guidelines set by the Portakabin Group.

Role Details

  • Salary: £22,000 - £25,000

  • Role based: Sherburn in Elmet

  • Contract type: Permanent

  • Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Processing of all cash received and refunds made into SAP.

  • Allocation of payments and refunds to the correct account / invoices as instructed by the client.

  • Management of unallocated cash by review of the ledger; liaising with both internal and external sources.

  • Investigation of all payment discrepancies as and when they arise.

  • Management of credit card processing throughout the month.

  • Processing of weekly direct debit runs.

  • Processing of remittances and cheques into SAP as and when required.

  • Month end reporting of Sales Ledger data.

  • Liaising with customers by phone/email to ensure payments are received in a timely manner.

  • Provision of updates on a monthly cash dashboard to maximise cashflow and minimise bad debt.

Our Ideal Candidate

It is essential that you have the following:

  • Previous experience of working in a team environment

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent

  • It would also be desirable to have:

  • ICM certificate or diploma (or currently be undertaking ICM studies)

  • Previous credit control experience

  • Work experience in Purchase Ledger environment
