We're looking for a hands on, customer-focused Area Sales Manager to join the team based at Trafford Park.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will have a passion for business development and be target-driven to deliver results. You will promote the company's hire business to prospective customers through structured business development activities while maintaining relationships with existing customers to ensure your order targets succeed.
The ideal candidate will have experience and the ability to demonstrate success in winning orders in a face-to-face, business-to-business environment. You will also be able to successfully design and implement business development campaigns to increase opportunities in the area.

Role Details

  • Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 plus commission based on performance
  • Role based: Trafford Park, M17 1AW
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Role Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery set targets for the year for a particular catchment area including contract value, order numbers, and visits as well as other commercial KPI’s.
  • Carry out structured business development, local and national campaigns, including business development calls within the area designated, in order to achieve order targets.
  • Complete customer care programme to ensure maximum satisfaction, continuity of business and maximise referral opportunities.
  • Prepare quotations and drawings against customer requirements.
  • Generate orders by attending customer sites.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven commercial experience, including face to face sales experience and business development
  • Strong experience of carrying out business development activities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Keeps up to date with competitor information and market trends
  • Monitors performance against deadlines and milestones
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above
