We’re on the search for an energetic and motivated individual to join our Hire division team in Trafford Park as a Commercial Apprentice. If you’re an ambitious and hardworking self-starter, who is looking to earn while you learn, then we want to hear from you!
Our commercial apprenticeship is designed to kickstart your career within the sales industry. Your apprentice programme will be delivered through a blended learning approach supported by our provider Mercuri. During the two-year programme, you will gain valuable experience learning on the job and by to completing coursework and assignments to achieve your Level 4, Sales Executive qualification.

What we’re looking for‿.
- A candidate with a positive attitude and a real desire to learn
- Fantastic communication skills – both in person and virtually!
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent grade)
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Experience working in customer service or a client facing role (desirable but not essential)
What to expect‿.
- You’ll be hands-on, working as part of our commercial teams who are responsible for winning orders and maintaining customer relationships
- In-house training to really understand the full range of Portakabin products and services
- Develop valuable skills such as effective communication, relationship building, presentation techniques and business development skills
- Creating commercial proposals and delivering them in a format, style and technique suiting our customers
- Various channels of support including your line manager, Area Hire Managers, colleagues, and a mentor. You will also network with other apprentices across the business
