Electrician

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team in Lingfield as an Electrician. You will refurbish and fit out the complete range of Portakabin buildings to the highest possible standards, specialising in the area of electrical work.

As innovators in the science of building, we provide modular buildings for hire and sale, as well as supplying refurbished buildings and construction site accommodation. We deliver building solutions for organisations of any size, in sectors ranging from manufacturing, education and health to transport, utilities and construction.

 

Flexibility is required in this role due to the workload of projects and rectifications which are based on and off site.

 

The following are essential for this role:

 

*         Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship Scheme / Indentures (or AM2)& City & Guilds 2360 or NVQ Level 3 electrical installation.

*         City & Guilds 2380/2381 (IEE Wiring Regs - 17th Edition) or JIB Card - Electrician (Must include IEE Wiring Regs 17th Edition)

*         City & Guilds 2395 Inspection, Testing and Certification

*         Experience gained within construction/related industry

*         Strong operational experience related to trade/role

 

Role Details

  • Starting salary: £34,090 p.a / £16.81 per hour per hour (inclusive of London weighting)
  • Opportunity to earn additional hourly rate between £0.27 - £4.53 (£547 - £9,186 p.a) based on skill set and behaviours.
  • This is a permanent role, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 16:30 and finishing early on Friday at 15:30 (including lunch breaks). Overtime is regularly available.

  • 24 days annual leave + bank holidays

What are the key duties?

  • Design and install electrical systems incorporating all types of electrical materials, ensuring that all installations meet current regulations.
  • Ensure that all buildings are tested to the required standards, including the completion of appropriate documentation/certification.
  • As applicable assume responsibility as the qualified supervisor and therefore oversee all testing requirements for the Hire Centre.
  • Conduct fault finding and undertake rectifications of existing systems both on and off site.
  • Assist where required in the general fitting out and refurbishment of Portakabin buildings both on and off site.
