As an Engineering Draughtsperson you will produce structural engineering drawings for modular and non-modular construction components using computer-aided design (CAD) packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor or similar.
Role Details:
- Annual salary up to £35,000 dependent on skills and experience. Plus an annual on target bonus of 5%
- Role based: York
- Contract type: Fixed term Contract (1 year)
- Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
In this role you will be required to:
- Support the Engineering team by ensuring Structural and Project Engineers’ designs are accurately interpreted, drawn within agreed timescales and compliant with company specifications, statutory legislation and codes of practice.
- Provide detailed engineering drawings to customers, manufacturing teams and site operatives to enable safe planning, construction and installation of engineered solutions.
- Assist in the inspection of built engineering solutions, reviewing compliance with design intent and ensuring robust installation of on-site construction.
- Liaise with internal and external customers, collaborators, contractors and suppliers to ensure requirements and performance specifications are achieved.
- Participate in design reviews, contributing to the accuracy and quality of design outputs.

Our Ideal Candidate
* Educated to GCSE and A-Level (GCSE Maths and English at Grade 6 and above).
* Proficient in the use of CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor or similar).
* Competent user of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel.
* Good basic knowledge of structural and building engineering principles.
* Experience in engineering draughting of structural steelwork.
* Understanding of the properties and applications of common and specialist building materials.#
