We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR advisor to join our central HR advisory team at our head office, in York.

 

As an integral member of our HR function, you will be responsible for delivery of a full range of services providing expert advice, support and guidance on a range of people related matters.

 

Role Details

*       Salary: £30,000 - £33,000

*       Role based: York, YO32 9PT

*       Contract type: Permanent

*       Annual leave: 25 plus bank holidays

 

Role Responsibilities

*       Manage the full recruitment cycle from advertising through to offer stage in area of responsibility working with the hiring managers to ensure momentum is kept.

*       Support ER cases including absence management, flexible working, investigation, disciplinary and grievance ensuring company policy is always adhered to.

*       Ensure effective absence management case work, conducting trend analysis and providing reports and highlighting concerns to the HR Manager and management as appropriate.

*       Guide and support a positive health and wellbeing culture through promotion of services available, arranging occupational health and other external referrals as required and linking with HSE Business Partners regarding risk assessments.

*       Support with all learning & development requirements including development plans, skills and competence matrices.

*       Conduct exit interviews promptly providing reports and feedback to management and HR Business Partner as required.

*       Build effective working relationships with all key stakeholders in area of responsibility.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

*       Has previous experience operating as a HR Advisor

*       Has experience of supporting ER cases and policy application

*       Applies specialist knowledge and detailed technical expertise

*       Listens, consults others, and communicates proactively

*       Gathers comprehensive information to support decision making

*       Analyses numerical data, verbal data, and all other sources of information.

*       Gains clear agreement and commitment from others through persuading, convincing and negotiating

*       Takes initiative, acts with confidence, and works under own direction

*       CIPD Qualified (level 5)
