We are looking for an HR Manager to join the Portakabin team based at our Donabate site (North Dublin).

Working as part of the management team in Portakabin Ireland, this is a true standalone HR generalist role, reporting into HR within the UK. You will support in all people matters including employee relations, engagement, learning, talent & reward.

You will support the delivery and implementation of the wider HR strategy, playing a key part in the continued growth and success of the Portakabin Ireland business.

Role Details

  • Salary: Up to €80,000
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

Role Responsibilities

  • Be the first port of call for all managers and colleagues within Portakabin Ireland, offering clear advice and guidance.
  • Support and advise on ER cases including absence management, flexible working, investigation, disciplinary, grievance and capability ensuring company policy is always adhered to.
  • Deliver and implement wider strategic HR initiatives within Portakabin Ireland.
  • Guide and support a positive health and wellbeing culture through promotion of services available, arranging occupational health and other external referrals as required and linking with HSE Business Partners regarding risk assessments.
  • Conduct exit interviews promptly providing reports and feedback to management as required.
  • Support with learning & capability requirements including development plans, local training & upskilling.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience of providing first line advice and support to managers on employee relation issues.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Irish Employment legislation.
  • Evidential knowledge of HR policies and procedure.
  • The ability to apply specialist knowledge and detailed technical expertise.
  • Takes initiative, acts with confidence, and works under own direction.
  • Confidence to challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of supporting and working with a manufacturing / construction environment (desirable, not essential)
  • CIPD qualification (level 5) or equivalent relevant experience operating at HR Manager level.
  • Full Irish Driving Licence
