We have an exciting opportunity for someone with a proven track record in good relationship management to help us develop the education sector.

This role is a senior position sitting within the business development team, focused on developing our largest sector.

As a Key Account Manager, you will utilise market knowledge to identify new, up and coming accounts whilst nurturing and growing long term key customers. You will make connections at the most senior level in organisations, influencing their property and estates strategy in a trusted advisor relationship. You will identify the right solution for the customer and then work with the commercial teams to handover developed opportunities, which will result in repeatable orders.

You will be comfortable in building relationships not only externally, but internally. Understanding that the potential of each key account cannot be realised without the commercial teams, bid teams and delivery teams being fully on board. The ideal candidate will have worked within the education sector and/or will have an extremely good grasp on how key account management can work within this sector.

Travel across regions within the UK is expected within this role.

Role Details

  • Salary: Up to £57,000 + Company car and bonus
  • Role based: UK (Hybrid – based from any of our UK Hire centres)
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Reports into the Head of Business Development

Role Responsibilities

*       Nurture key account customers to establish strong, long term partnerships

*       Collaborate with customers to increase account size in terms of order numbers, value, and explore new territories.

*       Develop trusted relationships with a senior people from accounts to ensure

*       Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives whilst ensuring the correct products and services are delivered in a timely manner.

*       To work collaboratively with the commercial teams to unlock the full potential of key national accounts

*       Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust

*       Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.

*       Follow market trends, insight and track government investment.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

*       A proven track record in strategic account management (relationship building, problem resolution, opportunity development and collaborative working)

*       A wealth of experience building credible, high level, business relationships

*       The ability to negotiate, influence, persuade and problem solve

*       Experience working in or with the education sector

*       General commercials and contractual understanding and knowledge

*       IT Literate (Excel & PowerPoint)

*       Technical, face to face selling and order winning experience

*       Full UK driving licence
