We’re looking for a motivated Marketing Apprentice who will bring energy, new ideas and a fresh perspective to help Portakabin continue to lead and transform the world of modular buildings.   

As a Marketing Apprentice at Portakabin you will be based out of our Head Office in York.  Your role will be supporting the day-to-day marketing activities within the UK marketing team, which are focused around omni-channel campaign management.  

Our professional apprenticeship programme has been developed to ensure you are supported throughout every step of your journey. Your 2-year apprenticeship will be delivered through a blended learning approach supported by our provider VQ Solutions. You will be stretched, challenged and supported by a business that views your professional development as a priority.   
During the programme you will complete a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship, working across a range of projects, which will offer the breadth and variety to support your development. 


Roles and Responsibilities   

  • Support the planning, briefing, delivering, and reporting on multi-channel marketing campaigns to a number of market sectors for different business units.  
  • Working closely with the business/commercial teams and using your own research to support the development of the communication plan to ensure we achieve the above objectives for the business.  
  • Working closely with the entire marketing team (digital, PR, social media & design) to support communication of all campaigns across multiple channels in a consistent way and the content is accurate and engaging for the target audience.  
  • Day to day work on Systems Application and Product (SAP) to raise process orders and ensure goods are received/delivered and that all marketing activities are within agreed budget.  
  • Support creation of marketing lists and campaigns, allocate calls for the commercial teams and run reports to measure campaign success through efficient and accurate use of Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relation Management System (CRM) 
  • Briefing and keeping the business up to date with marketing activity  
  • Day to day protection of the Portakabin brand; ensuring the trademark is used correctly and the brand guidelines are used consistently in the marketplace and within the company.  


Our Ideal Candidate   

  • Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • 5 GCSE including Maths and English Level 4 – 9 (or equivalent)  
  • High levels of collaborative team working  
  • High levels of energy and passion for marketing  
  • A self-starting attitude, spotting opportunities for improvement and taking a natural lead.  
  • Excited by challenges and solving problems.  
  • The ability to build highly trusted relationships with colleagues, third parties and internal stakeholders.
