We are looking for a Process Worker to join our team of Operatives in our Metal Fabrication department based in York. This role is a part time based on job share and could cover up to 2 days a week in operaing a Door Cell machine.
In this role you will ensure high standards of compliance with quality, technical specification, customer service and environmental requirements. You will also ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated.
Role Details
- Hourly Rate: £14.18ph + £2.00ph bonus scheme
- Role based: Portakabin Ltd, New Lane, York
- Contract type: Permanent
- Annual leave: 24 days plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
* Operating machinery within the Metal Fabrication Department ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy to achieve a safe working environment and an orderly standard.
* Be thorough in the separation and segregation of waste to meet environmental requirements.
* Reading drawings and Technical Specifications.
* Maintain tools and equipment in order to maximise their use and prolonged life.
* Work effectively as part of a team with all internal customers to ensure timescales for completing work are achieved and quality standards reached.
* Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety, inclusive of COSHH.
* Maintain accurate records of production, and other operational data required by Production Team Leader.
* Ensure that all laid Quality systems e.g. ISO 9001 & 14001 are adhered to.
* Support continuous improvement to ensure the area is always looking at the best way to carry out a task.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
* Strong experience gained within construction/related industry,
* Good organisation & planning skills,
* Good level of numeracy/literacy,
* Good problem solving and ability to analytical thinking
