As a Procurement Category Manager at Portakabin, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of sourcing, procurement, and contract management for all Pan-European business units across the steel category. You will create a robust, sustainable, and cost-effective supply base for the nominated category through sourcing, selection, and appointment of new suppliers to complement existing supply partners.

You’ll be an accomplished procurement specialist, with an MCIPS qualification or equivalent. You will be enthusiastic and keen to learn about our business and some of the exciting projects we deliver. You’ll be joining an established and welcoming team, that are proud to have a collaborative working culture, both internally and with wider areas of the Portakabin business. You will promote the sharing of knowledge and best practice and use this to really make an impact!

This is a full-time position, based from our office in York YO32. Portakabin has a flexible approach to working, meaning you will have the option to work from home up to 2 days per week.

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will have:

  • MCIPS qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a senior procurement role
  • Strong supplier relationship management
  • Proven experience in cost reduction & savings realisation
  • An understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation and on-boarding
