We are looking for a Procurement SME to join our team in York. As a Procurement SME you will provide Procurement expertise to complex or critical projects within Procurement or other Business Projects as directed. You will be required to align and integrate projects & resources to deliver against the objective and goals.

Role Details 

  • Salary: Circa £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
  • Role based: York / Hybrid
  • Contract type: 6 Month FTC with a possibility to extend
  • Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage Procurement activities across all allocated Projects; incorporating Portakabin Project Management Tools and ensuring Supply Chain reporting & Supplier Engagement is in line with SC policy, process & procedure 
  • Identify project gaps, critical path constraints and remediate 
  • Risk management and contingency sourcing to ensure project delivery is on time, to budget 
  • Understanding and comprehension of technical aspects of the project to ensure informed decision making 
  • Manage the full cost model to project requirements 
  • Liaise with other team members who will also work on the project ensuring clear communication and consistency in approach

Our Ideal Candidate

  • We are looking for someone who has:
  • A professional project management Qualification: Prince2 or equivalent experience
  • CIPS educated or working towards
  • Holds full UK driving license
  • 2+ years’ experience in Procurement role within Manufacturing environment
  • Management experience of multiple simultaneous projects
  • Experience of managing Proccurement projects
