We are looking for an Production Team Leader for a 6 months secondment to join our Production team in York.
Role Details:
* Role based: New Lane, Huntington, York (Head Office)
* Contract type: Permanent - 6 months secondment
* Annual leave of 24 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
In this role you will be required to:
* Allocate work and plan resources effectively to meet operational outputs and achieve KPIs related to time, cost, quality, and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards .
* Proactively support and uphold HSE standards, including leading engagement initiatives, managing accident and incident reporting, and conducting investigations.
* Conduct regular meaningful conversations with team members to maintain high performance standards.
* Develop the team by ensuring necessary skills, qualifications and training are in place.
* Prepare, review and maintain Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documentation essential to operational deliverables.
* Implement and continuously apply best-in-class lean practices and champion the principle of continuous improvement to drive performance.
* Production schedule for the line/cell delivered on time, to quality and cost, in line with OLE and OPI.
* Consistent focus on safety, product standards and productivity.
* High levels of customer satisfaction.
* An engaged, multi skilled team.
* Well maintained equipment, machinery and tooling.
* Minimal actions or non-conformities in audits. Non-conformance actions resolved promptly.
* High standards upheld in all documentation.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Experience in managing people in an operational environment.
- Experience in operating in low/high volume manufacturing.
- Understanding of the principles behind practices and methods in manufacturing e.g. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Preferably holds a health and safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent.
- Grade differentiators - level of experience & knowledge applied, scope & complexity of responsibilities, number & skills of team members supervised.
- SKILLS: Team Coordination, Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Performance Monitoring, Lean Manufacturing, Problem-Solving, Training and Development, Safety Compliance, Process Optimisation, Reporting and Documentation.
