We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (with construction experience) to join our successful team at Portakabin in Dublin. You will oversee and ensure that all Projects are delivered in accordance with all appropriate H&S regulations and good practice.

 

You remit will be to manage and oversee large / high profile project installations and dismantles ensuring that the site managers and sub-contractors deliver projects within planned costs and agreed timescales.

 

To ensure safe set up and completion on site of Ireland Hire projects to meet the agreed budget and programme, contractual obligations and customer expectations.  The role is office / home based with travel expected weekly with nights away when required.

 

Oversee and ensure that all Projects are delivered in accordance with all appropriate H&S regulations and good practice.

 

As a Project Manager, you will:

*        Take direct responsibility where appropriate for large and complex projects as defined in the project structure.

*        In conjunction with appropriate Commercial Staff, coordinate and implement Design Freeze, managing variations, ensuring that Design Freeze process is implemented on all projects undertaken.

*        Ensure that suitably detailed Gannt charts or other appropriate projects plans are in place for all projects undertaken within the region and that plans are updated on a regular basis to ensure relevance throughout the project.

*        Liaise with Senior Project Manager to forecast current and future workload.

*        Liaise with Health and Safety leads and Safety Champions to enhance our safe management of contractors and sites.

*        Ensure that appropriate Project Risk Registers are in place and maintained throughout the course of project delivery.

*        Ensure that the necessary resources, including labour allocation, materials and all sub-contract requirements are in place to ensure the agreed handover date is achieved whilst working within budgeted costs.

*        Ensure review and analysis of all active projects for progress against programme and planned vs actual costs.

*        Ensure that Project Close Out meetings are held for all appropriate projects, ensuring that learnings are recorded, costs reviewed and any further investigations undertaken as required

*        Ensure that all correspondence, documentation and information relating to project delivery is managed in accordance with Portakabin Project Delivery and Document Control standards.

*        Possess a full Irish Driving licence.

 

Health and Safety

*        Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and /or Company procedure relating to Health and Safety on all Projects being for which the Project Manager is responsible.

*        Ensure method statements, risk assessments, drawings and delivery schedules, including where appropriate the Lift Plan and RAMS for all cranage works, are in place for all Projects being delivered.

 

Essential Criteria

*        Proven Project management experience.

*        Project Management qualification, preferably PMQ.

*        Proven experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams on complex/high value building projects

*        Work productively in a fast paced, high-pressured environment

*        Demonstrable knowledge and experience of financial control in delivering projects including negotiation of terms and final accounts

*        Strong all round technical knowledge including Building Regulations, HTM’s and HBN’s

*        Makes rational judgements from the available information and analysis

*        Full Irish Driving License
