An exciting cost management opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Delivery team to proactively manage the financial and contractual aspects of our Sales division projects and drive continuous improvement of the commercial function.
Reporting to the Managing Surveyor, you will work closely with multi-disciplined teams and take commercial responsibility and ownership for the projects to ensure their successful delivery whilst maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.
Role Responsibilities
Project cost and risk management and cost forecasting (internal & external reporting).
Manage procurement of project subcontractors in conjunction with project buyer (where applicable).
Full commercial management on permanent turnkey projects between £2m and £15m in value.
Contract administration including issuing of notices, correspondence etc as applicable.
Lead on cashflow management including submission of applications for payment to clients and notification of payments to subcontractors.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and the supply chain.
Maximise project revenue, minimise cost and enhance margin.
Protect Sales E&W contractual position with both client & supply chain.

Our Ideal Candidate
This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor who has:
A degree in quantity surveying / commercial management / related construction degree
Previous experience in a quantity surveying role within the UK construction industry
Understanding of traditional construction methods
Understanding of project delivery phases and associated quantity surveying actions
Demonstrable experience of administrating JCT and/or NEC contracts independently
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Effective time management, organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
The ability to take full responsibility for all aspects of a construction project
