We’re looking for an enthusiastic, results driven, strategic thinker to become our new Regional Groundworks Manager! You’ll use these qualities to support and develop personnel, plan and implement change, and develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Your role will be covering the East Midlands, London, and the South East so there is flexibility on where your permanent office location can be.

The role requires you to drive consistency of operations as part of a collective business unit along with overall responsibility for the performance of Groundworks within the region relating to Project Delivery, Health & Safety, Operations, Commercial, Financial and Supply Chain.

Effective teamwork and communication are key in this role to assist with leading and managing internal team members & external stakeholders to achieve business unit targets & objectives.

Role Details

*         Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

*         Role based: Flexibility on location for the right candidate

*         Contract Type: Permanent

*         Annual leave: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Role Responsibilities

*         Manage and support regional resources to ensure projects are planned and delivered successfully to achieve requirements in relation to programme and quality.

*         Provide coaching, mentoring and motivation to drive towards the achievement of the teams’ objectives and KPIs, to ensure performance is maximised.

*         Responsible for ensuring that all Groundworks activities are delivered in accordance with all appropriate Health & Safety legislation and in accordance with Portakabin processes and procedures.

*         Manage the performance, development and training of regional team members including ensuring regional workload is planned and coordinated efficiently. Set clear objectives and regularly review progress / actions required. Recognise role / personnel specific training requirements and recommended to senior management.

*         Accountable for the financial performance of the region in relation to income / margin along with reporting of the same.

*         Lead the regional Groundworks team in supporting and advising Hire centres to maximise order winning and profitability. Ensure the accurate and timely recording of statistics relating to regional commercial performance.

*         Engage as part of the business unit management team to drive consistency of operations and maximise operational efficiency across the Business Unit.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

*         Experience in construction commercial / project delivery related roles.

*         Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including coaching.

*         Full UK driving licence.

*         IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.

*         Makes prompt clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks.

*         Proven experience of managing health and safety within complex working environments.

*         Demonstrate ability to work independently and drive in new initiatives.
