Portakabin are looking for a Contract Manager to join our Major Project Delivery team, operating in a nationwide capacity.
As an experienced Contract Manager you will lead the successful delivery of large modular projects or multiple contracts, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, to specification, on budget and to the satisfaction of the customer, taking full ownership of planning, financial performance, risk management and compliance with company project delivery standards.
Role Details:
- Annual salary £62,000 - £67,000 dependent on skills and experience. Plus an annual on target bonus of up to 10%
- Role based: Projects will be situated nationwide, with regular travel and overnight stays required to support the business needs.

In this role you will be required to:
* Take full ownership for the successful project management and delivery of allocated large or complex contracts, ensuring completion safely, on time, to specification, to budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.
* Act as a subject matter expert in project delivery, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to support best practice across the function.
* Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to achieve contract delivery objectives, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
* Maintain or improve project margins and cash flow through effective planning, budget management, risk control and commercial decision-making.
* Produce regular reports and updates for stakeholders, providing analysis of progress against programme, costs and key milestones.
* Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, maintaining an up-to-date risk register and acting on opportunities to improve outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, managing variations and resolving contractual conflicts and disputes where required.
* Build strong customer relationships, acting as the main point of contact for allocated contracts.
* Support bid and pre-construction activity as required, contributing operational expertise.
* Provide coaching, support and, where applicable, line management for professionals within the contract team.

Our Ideal Candidate
* Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Project management qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Experience of delivering large and complex construction or modular projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of project delivery methodologies and processes.
* Strong knowledge of financial control in project delivery, cost management, and negotiating terms and settlement of final accounts.
* Experience in leading and/or coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams.
* Experience managing third-party suppliers and contractors.
* Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues during project delivery.
